The Big Reveal...New Blog Design

Thanks to Karen at Valentine Design, there's a new look to my blog.  

Karen was great to work with!

These are my grandparents on Dad's side.

I adored them.

 Grandpa Harry died when I 

was just four, but I have loads

of great memories of him...

I still have the Bible he gave me for

Christmas; it has my name stamped in gold

Grandma took care of us a lot when Mom

was working.  She was always happy,

or if she wasn't we never knew it.

Her favorite song was "Oh Happy Day".

I asked Karen to incorporate these photos into

the header; I love the way it turned out.

Great Reads

Do you notice a change?  I've been unhappy with my blog background for awhile. While the green & brown combo perfectly matched my Gracie's Cottage logo it seemed "heavy" and a bit oppressive at times.  This temporary background better matches my mood and will reside here while I search for the perfect new look.

In the meantime, I urge you to take a peek at my blog list to the right and a little down from this post. I'm inspired by these bloggers with each new entry.  There are amazing photographers, artists with talent that blows me away and folks so nice that I wish they lived next door.  Spending a little time each day reading their latest posts is a treat that I give myself.  Indulge in a few moments of discovery; you just may find a "great read" to add to your list.
