VIVA! Viva la Cottage Vintage Market

The tented grounds of Viva la Cottage were rockin' on Saturday morning as buyers rushed in to shop the Vintage Market. The atmosphere was reminiscent of Junk Bonanza as shoppers jammed the tent and rushed to hand over their cash so they could move on to the next vendor.
About two hours after opening the initial rush slowed, we were able to fill in empty spaces and sales continued at a more manageable pace for the rest of the day.
Our fellow vendors had great displays and I'm sorry that I didn't get a chance to get photos of each one. Minutes before opening I snapped a couple pics and had to return to our tent.
Jeanine from ChiPPy!-SHaBBy! had the best collection of cherry-themed finds, and this display featuring oranges and greens just oozed summery charm.
Carol of In A Haystack had a fun assortment including a whole lotta cheery red & white.
We were set up next to our uber-creative friends at Altered Ever After, (Jill & Candyce), and later met for great conversation over a steak dinner; we often run into each other at shows and seldom have a chance to visit.
Lenni & Erica from Apron Strings brought a happy assortment of vintage finds.

The entire day was great fun and Angie from Viva la Cottage was a wonderful 'hostess'.  (She & her hubs actually took our tent down for us as we were loading up after the show - thanks Angie! - can't wait to be back there next year!)

...and THANKS to everyone that shopped our booth - it wouldn't have been a successful day without you!

***P.S. If you bought 10 of something and arrived home with only 9, please email me...I have it!

  1. You two were fabulous! Loved everything you brought and wonderful displaying! Hope to see you soon,

  2. Love your display! It looks like a market that's right up my alley too. I'm thinking I need to travel a bit, like to Wisconsin, because there is just nothing happening in my neck of the woods!

  3. Your booth looked the BeSt-Ever!!!
    Jeanine, ChiPPy!-SHaBBy!

  4. Sadly, we did not make it this time. There will be another chance in autumn, won't there?

  5. Oh looks like so much fun! Your booth displays are fantastic!! Thanks for sharing!

  6. You and Kathy put together a great group of vintage treasures. Your tent looked so inviting. Great job!

  7. Isn't the rush fun? Sounds like my sale a few weeks is amazing. Everyone takes their own money? This is something we keep discussing...we have 1 checkout for all vendors...

  8. Sounds like a great sale...lovin' all the pics...makes me feel like I'm there!
